Hair Health tips
We have put together some tips regarding hair care in general.
HAIR CARE AND WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT
Are you going for a certain look? something that needs styling? How about maintenance after a treatment or procedure? Most of the time we think we do not have time to do a blow dry and go for an air dry instead. However depending what style/look you are going for you could be wasting your whole trip to the salon. Always listen to your stylist who is letting you know how to maintain the look/style/treatment you want when you are not at the salon.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR STYLIST
We get it, you have met some real rotten apples out there. Telling you one thing when your hair actually needs something else.
The problem is Trust. Without it, you will not get to experience what is real vs what is fake. (We hope you never have to experience the fakes anymore.)
A good stylist will always explain to you what, why and how these steps will benefit your hair. However you have to be open to hearing the explanation.
If you are unsure ask questions and if it does not feel right then do not do it.
We just ask that you do not change your mind half way through it, you lose the trust of your hairstylist when things are last minute (changing styles, cuts, cancelling appointments) it can effect the final look and both parties will not be happy.
HEALTHY HABITS FOR HEALTHY HAIR
- Always “comb” not rip your hair after a shower.
- nourish your hair “from the inside out” more fruits and veggies
- hair vitamins are a thing and they work
- use a deffuser if you are not skilled blow drying, it can save your hair from drying out
- wash/exfoliate your scalp (do not let it get overly oily)
- use a deep conditioner (stay away from over night conditioners)
- trim away the split ends, do it now before the damage gets worse
- less stress = less hair loss
IT'S OK TO BE YOU
We have a favorite saying around the salon, be real.
We have met a lot of people chasing happiness outside of themselves and frankly it always ends in disaster.
You can make any look or situation your own. You just have to OWN IT/FACE IT/BE IT. That’s the only way to truly reinvent or change yourself, from the inside out.
We love our clients and love when there life aims towards a beautiful path > a destructive one.
No matter where you are in life. We will be here to bring out the happiness within when you rise from our chair.
HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED?
WHEN I GO TO THE SALON?
Have you ever been late to an appointment? Have you ever been the person effected by a late appointment?
Typically in a well run salon appointments are on schedule, however sometimes it can have a domino effect.
It is generally safe to give yourself a 30 minutes buffer zone before your next meeting or event. On the positive side you won’t be singled out for being late.
Courteously; if you are late for your salon appointment. Do call your stylist and let them know how late you will be.
